The Challenge

  • Designers couldn't easily create native animations
  • Gap between design tools and production code
  • Complex animation workflows requiring developer handoff

What We Built

  • Import from Sketch, Figma, and SVG
  • Intuitive timeline-based animation editor
  • Export to iOS/Swift, Web, React, Lottie
  • Live preview across platforms

Recognition

  • Vancouver UX Award winner
  • Featured on Product Hunt
  • Used by designers worldwide

Closing the animation gap

Designers have powerful tools for static mockups, but creating animations that actually work in apps? That's been painful. You either learn to code, or hand off specs and hope developers implement it right.

We built Flow to solve this. Import your Sketch or Figma designs, animate them with an intuitive timeline that feels like a design tool, and export production-ready code that developers love to work with.

Flow exports to iOS/Swift, Web Animations, React, Lottie, and more. All from the same animation. No more recreating work for each platform.

Key Features

Timeline with 1/100s precision, custom curve editor, live preview across platforms, and a re-sync feature that catches up with Figma design changes instantly.

Design-native workflow

Flow's timeline feels like working in a design tool. You animate using layers and properties, not keyframes and code. The intuitive path editing and custom curve editor give you precise control without the learning curve.

Create buttons that export as working iOS components. Build multi-step onboarding animations. Convert your logo into an actual launch animation. With a click, see your work as live HTML, iOS, Android, or React.

When your Figma file changes, Flow's re-sync catches up instantly. No re-importing, no lost work.

From side project to product

Flow started as an internal tool to streamline our own app development work. We kept wishing animation was easier, so we built the tool we wanted to use.

What began as a side project grew into a full product used by designers and developers around the world. It won a Vancouver UX Award and continues to evolve with new features and platform support.

Flow represents our belief that great tools should get out of your way. Let you focus on creating, not fighting with software.
